ABOUT
Get ready for the Tourism Tech Lab
11-12 November 2026
A high-trust, invitation-led tourism technology lab in the UAE where senior leaders co-design the future of destinations, travel, and hospitality — moving from ideas to real-world pilots in days, not years.
Who the Tourism Tech Lab is for:
C-suite executives in tourism, aviation, hospitality, mobility, and travel tech
Government leaders shaping national tourism, innovation, and economic strategy
Founders and scale-ups with proven traction (not early-stage pitch decks)
Investors and partners focused on long-term value and national impact
This lab is not for:
Mass-market conference attendees
Vendors chasing leads
Early ideation with no execution pathway
Anyone without decision-making power
Founders Letter - Diane Lloyd
Tourism has never lacked ideas.
What it has lacked is the right rooms.
For years, I watched the same pattern repeat itself: governments calling for innovation, executives flying from conference to conference, founders pitching promising solutions — and yet very little actually making it into the real world. Brilliant concepts stalled. Pilots moved too slowly. Conversations were polished, but outcomes were vague.
I didn’t believe the problem was ambition or intelligence. I believed it was how we were bringing people together.
That belief is why this Tourism Tech Lab exists.
This lab was created as a high‑trust, invitation‑only space where senior leaders from government, industry, and technology can work together — not to talk about the future of tourism, but to build it.
Here, time is treated as the most valuable asset in the room. Attendance is limited. Every participant is carefully selected. Every session is designed to move from insight to decision, and from decision to action.
This is not a conference.
There are no panels for the sake of visibility, no vendors chasing attention, and no generic narratives about disruption. Instead, there are small, focused working groups, honest conversations, and a shared commitment to execution. Some ideas will move forward quickly. Others will be deliberately stopped. Both outcomes are successes.
The UAE is not simply the host — it is the living lab. Few places in the world combine ambition, leadership, regulatory agility, and global relevance at this scale. That makes it the ideal environment to test, validate, and deploy what comes next for destinations, travel, and hospitality.
At its core, this lab exists to answer one question:
How do we build the future of tourism — faster, smarter, and together?
The answer requires trust between public and private sectors, discernment about which technologies truly matter, and the courage to make decisions early. This lab is designed to support all three.
My role is simple but intentional: to curate the room, protect the integrity of the space, and create the conditions where real progress can happen. When you are invited into this lab, it is because your perspective matters — and because you have the ability to turn conversation into action.
If you are at the Tourism Tech Lab and support it, it means you believe, as I do, that the future of tourism will not be built on stages or slides, but through collaboration, clarity, and commitment
